I pray you are having a great God focused day.
Two passages of scripture I want to share and let speak.
Mark 14:33-36
“They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” He took Peter, James and John along with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.” Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
Easter is a reminder that God calls us to hard things but also that God does Hard thing for us.
And when God does hard things for us…. this happens
“They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
Our God brings life, forgiveness, restoration, hope, newness, healing and possibility to that which is dead, forgotten, hopeless, destroyed, hurt and impossible. I don't know what are the things you, this weekend look at and see as being dead or impossible. But that is what Easter is all about. It's about a God who, because of His great love poured out life, forgiveness, restoration, hope, newness, healing and possibility through the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus is alive, He is Lord and He is God of the impossible. That is what Easter is all about. What situation do you need to add a little Easter to this weekend?
I serve and trust a risen Saviour and an all might Lord and God.
He takes death and brings life. There is nothing He can’t do. Amen.
I pray you serve and trust Him too.
Have a great Jesus focused, Holy Spirit filled weekend.
