Thoughts From The Pastor - Jesus Does Not Want Liars Proclaiming His Name

This is a hard conversation and one that we all have to take an honest look at our own hearts and lives about. It seems that far to many Christians seem to think that focusing on and talking about other Christian's problems and other Church's issues is somehow a part of their ministry. They seem to think that they're vocalizing their judgment of other Christians and/or other God fearing churches somehow honours the Lord in some way or is how they are fighting the battle for the Lord. The problem with this is that it's nothing other than gossip and slander. Their fight needs to be first and foremost with their own desires, judgmental spirit and controlling and keeping a tight reign on their own tongue. Friends, talking about and judging others along with slightly exaggerated and slightly twisted truths are all the language of Lucifer's camp, not the language that is to be used in the camp or in the kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Remember, give it time; if you are truly walking in the discernment of the Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth, the fruit and truth of the situation will become evident in time.

Christian, are you caught up in the gossip and slander cycles of Nipawin or your hometown and yet proclaim Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour?

My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
