In My Heart, Is HE Greater?

So guys I know that so often my posts are about me giving us a kick in the butt to be all in for Jesus. Some might even accuse me of focusing to much on our part in following and walking in the ways of Jesus Christ. Some may even accuse me of forgetting about grace and God's mercy... but these claims would be rubbish. Guys God LOVE US. He send His only son to die on the cross for our sin, He is the God of grace, mercy, and love. I do not forget this. I do not ignore this... it is exactly why I focus on us as followers of Jesus Christ and Children or our unfathomably incredible God of love, grace, and holiness that I constantly call myself and you to a higher level of obedience and worship to our God. God has given us everything in this life. Do we get that?

Everything, every moment of love that you or I have ever experienced has been because God is love and when He created us in His image he created us with the ability to love and to receive love as we do. And that is just one thing, love, every good things, think about it EVERY good things you have ever seen or experienced you were able and are able because God made us to, and gifts us continually with His good gifts. And This is true weather I am a Child of God or a enemy of God. that is the lengths of His goodness and love for humanity, who He created in His image. And then we choose to sin, we choose to walk in our own way, rejecting His good even amazing leading and love. It was on us. Think about that too. That means that everything bad and evil that you have experienced was not because of God, but because of us and our propensity to do evil, be selfish, be ignorant, and reject God's truth and way. YET, Yet He still loves us and sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sin, so that He could rescue us back to himself. OUR GOD IS GOOD... and we like Romans records know it, but we tend to seek after, desire, and treasure and even worship all the worldly things God has given us, even our own lives and thinking... rather then seek after, desire, treasure and worship Him ALONE. Guys our God is a God of great love and mercy and HE is a God of unwavering Holiness This is why I push for us His people to step up, to follow, to serve God with the passion and Holy reverence that HE DUELY DESERVES... I know we will fail, at it, but lets face it, I know and you know that Yes, He deserves more then what He is getting considering who HE is and what He has done in love and grace for me, and you. I call us all, including myself, to a higher standard, because our God is worthy of ALL our praise and glory and hour. Our God is good, He is Good, lets live loving Him and walking in His ways with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. He deserves it, and more. We sing about this all the time, but let us be known for not just singing about it, but living it all the way, all the time, and as we walk in step with the Holy Spirit keeping our eyes on Jesus and nothing else... we can, as we are called to in Word of God, live to please the Lord at all times in all things. Amen. He loves you, and He has showed it, and continues daily to show you as you walk in relationship with Him. Let us do the same back.

Psalm 145

A psalm of praise. Of David.

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.Every day I will praise you  and extol your name for ever and ever.

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.10 All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you. 11 They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,12 so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises  and faithful in all he does.14 The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.16 You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. 17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways    and faithful in all he does.18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.20 The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. 21 My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

As you read this you get two major focuses, Who God is, and what I am doing about it. So the questions we have to ask ourselves are:

Do I believe it? Is this who God is to me? Do I understand this fully?

Because brothers and sisters this is who God is. And then we must also ask:

Am I living in proper response to who HE is? Do I live out the "I will..." statements in this passage as I should?

Let us pray that God to see more and more just how great and good HE is to us so that we might ever more turn our lives towards His ways and live to proclaim and worship Him in every part of our lives, in all of the earth.

Amen.
