Yes, I know. You already understand all about leadership. Yes, I know. You already know how to lead and know all about leadership. Yes, I know. It's crazy how many people think this in the church and really everywhere, and yet, I am always amazed at how truly little people actually understand about leadership, especially in the Church.
Now I love the church and don't mean to poo poo it here. But we need to become more humble and open to learning how to biblically lead better and in a way that truly honours God. And we can't do that if we think we already know how to do it and all about it and are unwilling to listen and learn humbly.
I became interested in reading and watching stuff about leadership about 21 years ago now. I thought I knew more about how to do it then. I really got into it, getting my hands on all the books and videos I could and making my own notes, comparing and evaluating different leadership models and systems to the word of God, back at NBC. I am now finishing my last class for my Master in Leadership (MAL). And you know what I have learned most of all? I need to learn so much more. Truly Godly leadership is always humbly desiring and willing to learn more about leadership, themselves, and those they lead.. The second you start to have that attitude well I know all this already, your likely are or about to fail to lead well.
What I share in this video below is what I have come to call the three core paradigms of leadership. Which paradigm or mindset do you predominantly lead out of? It matters.
