I was brought to this passage the other day, and it stood out to me, and I just wanted to share it as an encouragement today.
Roman 8:28. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purposes.
What stuck out to me is the connection between the good that God is working and that we are called according to His purposes. We are looking at these two things from God’s good perspective and understanding, not ours in both cases. The good is not what we determine good, but it is true God-ordained good.
So what does that mean?
Well, Like when God created this incredible universe and world and called it good and very good. That is the kind of good we are talking about here. Not just what I think or want to be good. No, God size, God understanding good.
And secondly, God works for good, for those who are called according to His purposes. Guys, today we are the called. That means we have been called for His purposes today, and that will, it will result in God like good. I might not see it today or even in this life, but it will, in the end, be very Good. Although it is hard at times, the reward for walking in His purposes is His type of good, and that type of good is holy, selfless and eternally impacting. It is really good!
So today, let us live for His good purposes, for we are His called ones. And we are not alone in this calling; we have the Holy Spirit living in us to help and guide us because again, the God of love that we live for and with, in Jesus Christ, is a God of truly good things.
So then. He is with us. We are called. Let us live and work towards and according to His good purposes today because we know that in this very day at this very moment, in His good ways, He is working towards ours.
Wow. It is good to be loved by our Good God,
Thank you Jesus. Amen.
