So often, we demand that others love us in our own love language. This is seen in families and marriages, and I believe it is also seen in the Church. One of the biggest problems in the church might not be that we don't love each other but that we are pretty ignorant of other people's love languages in the church, and well, we are still selfish sinners, only saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
So, one problem is that we don't love or try to love, yet we still want everyone to love us. Of course, this is wrong, and if you are in Christ, this should not be. 1John 2:9-11 & 4:7-12
The second problem is that even when we try to love others in Jesus Christ, we still want everyone to love us, but we get tired of trying to love others when it seems others who are supposed to don't reciprocate that love. And in our struggle and fatigue to love but not feel loved back, we begin to judge others charging them for not loving us the way we want them to, in our love language.
These are huge problems in our lives and the Church. We need to start repenting and running to Jesus Christ when we sense our hearts turning judgmental and bitter toward our brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. We also need to start paying more attention to our own love languages and others' love languages. We might just find we are being loved like crazy, but in love language we don't speak.
